The History Behind Pomaireware

Talented artisans from Pomaire, Chile have kept up the tradition of using clay to create their distinctive and unique earthware for generations. The process of smoothing and burnishing with an agate stone after the clay has dried has been a technique used since the mid-1800s and is no doubt effective as Pomaireware continues to include a collection of uniquely-crafted pieces. All items are lead free and are decorative, efficient, and built to last.
