Peach Cobbler Recipe

Peach Cobbler Recipe

 

Filling:

  • 5-6 cups of fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • pinch cinnamon
  • pinch ground mace
  • pinch ground cardamom

 

Topping:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

 

Heat oven to 400 degrees. In an oven proof dish, mix together the peaches, sugar and spices. For the topping, cream together the sugar and butter. Add in the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour over the top of the prepared fruit. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm.

 

Serves 6-8
