Warm Apple Crisp Recipe

Warm Apple Crisp Recipe

 

Filling:

  • 6 Granny Smith apples
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. brandy (optional)

 

Topping:

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and slice apples into a bowl with the lemon juice. Add in remaining filling ingredients. Toss to coat evenly. Place mixture in a 2 quart baking dish.

Combine topping ingredients in a separate bowl. Mixture should resemble small peas. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake for 45 minutes, until top is golden brown.

Serves 8
